The Organization for Understanding Children's Hearts (TOUCH), provides support for parents and family members of children with heart disease. TOUCH seeks to give emotional support to the child and family before, during and long after surgery. If you have just found out your child has a heart defect, or are facing an upcoming surgery and want to talk with another parent, contact TOUCH at: (309) 655-2650, or (800) 443-9898.

 

Family House
Family House provides low (or no) cost lodging for families of patients receiving medical care in Peoria. Only a block from OSF Saint Francis, the 14-room Victorian home offers a comfortable, safe, homelike environment complete with private rooms, kitchens and laundry facilities. Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs
Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs are recommended to all patients. They can be found here in Peoria or at your own local hospital when you return home. Joining such a program is an effective way to recover physically and share experiences with other heart patients.
