Born in Knoxville, Illinois, Angie received her BA from Monmouth College and then her BS from Saint Francis College of Nursing. Angie worked as a staff nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit for six years prior to attending the University of Illinois Chicago at Peoria and earning her MS in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. She joined Illinois Cardiac Surgery in May 2007.

In her spare time, Angie enjoys exercising, coaching girls’ basketball, and spending time with her family.
