Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Northern Illinois University
Master of Science in Nursing – St. Louis University
Attending college on a Field Hockey Scholarship, Missouri native Becky Todd initially planned on becoming a special education teacher.
Instead, she followed in her grandmother's footsteps and became a nurse.
"I love taking care of people. I give it 110%. I like to listen and get to know my patients. That's what's great about working on the office side of nursing, seeing patients get better and being part of that.
"It makes me very proud to be part of this team. I admire how the doctors here take care of their patients. After working in a hospital setting for several years, I know that not all doctors have the same passion."
Since Becky also has a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University, she has the autonomy to do your pre-operative history and physical, prescribe medication, order lab tests, and in other ways, assist the surgeons.
Becky and her husband, a Peoria firefighter, are the parents of two small children, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. "I love running but my husband and children are all I have time for right now: we do a lot as a family."
